Yes, face coverings are required upon entering Onondaga Physical Therapy.

Patients (and therapists) must wear masks during Aquatic therapy sessions, as long as it is safe & practical to do so. Aquatic participants may only remove masks when it would be unsafe to remain masked during aquatic therapy, such as when the face and/or mask becoming wet is inevitable with floating, swimming activities. Masks are to be worn for the entire duration of the session outside of these situations.

As with land therapy, masks must be secured over the nose and mouth in accordance with CDC Guidelines. Washable cloth face coverings or disposable masks are recommended for aquatic therapy as there is a strong likelihood the masks may become wet during session, from swimming activities or touching the mask with wet hands. We recommend that our patients bring a second (dry) mask for this reason.
