What is The Meeks Method?

Could The Meeks Method Help You?

According to the National Osteoporosis Foundation, approximately 54 million Americans have osteoporosis and low bone mass, placing them at an increased risk for a fracture.

Common Symptoms Include:

  • Back Pain
  • Stooped Posture
  • Loss of height
  • Fractures

We are experts in the treatment of Osteoporosis. We can help.

How does The Meeks Method differ from other treatment programs?

The Meeks Method was developed for those suffering from Osteoporosis, but can also be applied to individuals with other spinal conditions such as scoliosis, spinal stenosis, and general back pain. This method focuses on achieving and maintaining “optimal alignment” of the spine. This method is S.A.F.E  or Skeletally Appropriate for Everyone.  This means that the program can be implemented by one of our therapists to begin addressing your postural changes, regardless of what other conditions you might have relating to your spine.

The Meeks Method is S.A.F.E and incorporates only exercises and movements that are “Skeletally Appropriate For Everyone.” This means that the program can be implemented by one of our therapists to begin addressing your postural changes, regardless of what other conditions you might have relating to your spine.

How Does it Work?

The Meeks Method uses a 12-step approach to realign the spine, which will in turn help you stand up taller and return to the activities you enjoy. This method starts with a screening process and progresses you along the wheel as shown.

Our therapists complete a full postural assessment and determine a safe exercise program that will increase your bone density, prevent your condition from worsening, and reduce your risk of fractures.
