Project Description

Why did you choose this profession?
I originally was a dancer and received a BFA in dance teaching. I knew I could do more with my passion for movement and discovered physical therapy. PT provided a challenging and balanced career where I could help more people within the community.
What is your best quality as a professional?
I am compassionate and an active listener. I want to truly understand what each patient is going through so we can work together to find the best pathway.
Interests and hobbies?
I call myself a hobbyist, or one that enjoys a variety of hobbies. I enjoy reading, hiking, crocheting, paint by numbers, dancing, traveling, baking, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and pretty much any adventure activity.
Did you know?
I taught dance in Thailand for 6 months!
What do you find most compelling about your job?
Being a physical therapist is like being a detective. You are getting so much information from a person and then you have to put the pieces together to find the best plan of care. It can be challenging but it never gets boring!
What are some of your Favorites?
I enjoy Lord of the Rings (books and movies), The Office, being outdoors, dogs and horses (all animals really), Fresh fruit, Crafts and Art, Modern Dancing
What are you doing in the Community?
I have been working at completing my degree and starting a new job so I am not currently volunteering but I am excited to participate more. In the past I have provided low income families with dance and movement classes locally, volunteered with women’s shelters to help period poverty, and worked with LGBTQIA+ organizations to support
