I have had physical therapy before, but at a different office, not Onondaga Physical Therapy. The experience was okay, very clinical, so I wasn’t anticipating anything to write about when I came to OPT and met with Matthew Brown. (Matt came highly recommended by my mother, who had previously had him for physical therapy.) Matt has a very calming presence that reminds me of a yoga instructor, which is great when you are experiencing pain. He is very attentive to the needs of his patients through both verbal and physical feedback. Matt genuinely cares about his patients. He is an avid educator and treats his patients with compassion and empathy. He has been more than willing to answer any questions that I have had about what is going on with me (and I have had many!) While in therapy, I have never felt that the session was rushed, which is more and more rare to find these days when at a medical office. Speaking of the office, the front office staff is awesome! After the first couple of visits, Chris would greet me by first name. The other ladies in the front office are also very friendly. The overall atmosphere of the office as a whole, front staff and therapists, is very welcoming and gives off a feeling of family. And who better to take care of you than family!

I am in PT for building strength in my hands due to RA and for balance due to ear damage. Matt is extremely professional. patient and kind. The staff is very welcoming, professional and all are personable. I would absolutely recommend Onondaga Physical Therapy in Clay.
