Why did you choose this profession?
I worked as a journalist prior to becoming a Physical Therapist and was searching for a career change that allowed me to combine my love of asking strangers questions and my desire to help people when I was hit by a car. I thought the problem-solving that I got to watch Physical Therapists do while helping all the different people I met in waiting rooms looked like a fun challenge.
What is your best quality as a professional?
I like listening to patients and getting excited with them about their goals.
What do you find most compelling about your job?
I like that each patient is unique and requires me to pull on different parts of my understanding, or increase my understanding, of the human body.
